Lois holds an MSc in International Economics and European Affairs. Prior to joining CERN, she supported the procurement team at the European Parliament as a Schuman Trainee. She works in Electronic Components Procurement and became a Procurement Officer in 2025.

Category Manager for Cooling, ventilation and vacuum
Floris completed his technical education in France and joined CERN in 1991. He was responsible for the installation of various safety systems in CERN’s accelerators and experimental areas before joining the Procurement Service in 2009. He is specialised in the Cooling, Ventilation, Vacuum, Handling and Vehicles area.

Corinna holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management and has experience in procurement and logistics in both humanitarian and commercial sectors. She works in Electronics, Optics and Detectors Procurement and is Category Manager for Electronics.

Procurement Officer
Gloria holds an LLB in Law and an MBA and has experience in legal, compliance and international trade roles across the public and private sectors. She currently serves as a Procurement Officer in the Supplies Section. Her practice area focuses on supplies valued above 50 kCHF for the HSE, SCE and OSI departments.

Procurement Assistant
Arielle’s practice area focuses on handling procurement files and supporting buyers for orders ranging from 1 to 5 kCHF. She joined CERN in 1988 and has been working as a Procurement Assistant in the Procurement Service since 1991, bringing extensive experience in managing low‑value orders and day‑to‑day procurement activities.

Simon holds an MSc in Supply Chain Engineering and Purchasing Management. After eight years as an industrial purchaser, he joined CERN’s Procurement Service in 2019. He was appointed Head of Section in 2024 and is Category Manager for Cables and Connectors and Mechanical Engineering.

Álvaro is a Mechanical Engineer from the University of La Rioja and holds an MSc in Business Administration. He worked in 2021 at the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in Chicago. He joined CERN in 2022 and serves as Category Manager of Cryogenics Equipment, Gases and Mechanical Engineering.

Jessica holds an MSc in Economics and Public Policy and joined CERN in March 2024 after working in procurement roles in the facilities and property management sectors. She is Category Manager for IT Software and Hardware and serves as Head of Unit for Research and Administration.

Merethe joined CERN in May 1992 and has gained experience in various on‑site services, including HR, TE, the DG Project Office, the EN Departmental Planning Office and conference organisation. She joined the section as a Procurement Officer in October 2019.

Andrea is a Mechanical Engineer trained at CNAM Paris and joined CERN in 1994. He served as a Project Engineer for HL‑LHC Project collaborations with INFN Milan, IHEP China and KEK Japan. He is specialised in Electrical Engineering and is Category Manager of Electromechanical Engineering.
